Terms and Conditions

1. Operator​

chibichange is operated by ZeitFlow UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany (Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 273957). See Impressum. By using the service at chibichange.com or my.chibichange.com you agree to these terms.

These terms cover our hosted service only. The chibichange software itself is licensed separately under the AGPL-3.0; running your own instance is governed by that licence, not by this document, and creates no contract with us.

2. Eligibility​

You need an account to publish a changelog, and must be at least 16 years old. If you're under the age of majority in your country, you may need a parent or guardian's consent to enter into a contract with us.

Readers of a published changelog need no account and enter no contract with us.

3. Plans and Billing​

chibichange is currently free of charge while in early release. There is no subscription, no trial, and no payment details are collected.

We intend to introduce paid plans. If we do:

• Existing accounts will be given at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge could apply, and no account will ever be charged without first actively subscribing.
• The plans, prices and billing terms will be published here before they take effect, and the payment provider will be added to the Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this section obliges us to keep any part of the service free indefinitely — but see Section 7 on discontinuation.

4. Your Content​

You keep all rights to the changelogs, project descriptions and other content you publish. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: to store your content, and to serve it publicly at its changelog URL and through the widget — which is what publishing a changelog means.

You are responsible for having the right to publish what you publish, including any project name or slug you register.

5. Acceptable Use​

Do not use chibichange to publish illegal content, distribute malware, phish, or impersonate a project you have no connection to. Do not use the feedback board or changelog primarily as a spam or SEO surface, and do not deliberately forge or inflate beacon traffic.

We may suspend a project that breaches this section. Suspension makes the project's public pages and widget return 404 while leaving your account, content and dashboard intact and reversible. The criteria we apply, what suspension does, how to appeal, and how we handle disputes over project slugs are set out in our abuse and slug policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. The Widget on Third-Party Sites​

The widget is a script you embed in your own application. You decide where it runs and you are the controller for your users' interaction with it. You are responsible for disclosing its use in your own privacy notice where your local law requires it. What it transmits is documented in the Privacy Policy and is deliberately minimal.

7. Service Availability​

chibichange is provided "as is" and free of charge. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability and offer no service level agreement.

Because the widget runs inside your application, an outage here is visible to your users. The widget is written to fail silently: if our service is unreachable, it renders nothing rather than showing an error. Your application is unaffected.

If we discontinue the hosted service or a significant feature, we will give reasonable advance notice and ensure you can export your content first. The software is AGPL-3.0 and self-hostable, so a shutdown here never leaves your changelog stranded.

8. Termination​

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate an account for a breach of Section 5, or with reasonable notice for any other reason; where circumstances allow, we will provide a window to export your content.

Deleting a project keeps its slug reserved so that instances still requesting it cannot be served someone else's changelog. You may reclaim your own slug at any time.

9. Liability​

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for data loss caused by third-party failures or force majeure. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your changelog content. Nothing here limits our liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or liability under the German Product Liability Act.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution​

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN CISG. Mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence remains unaffected. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in consumer arbitration proceedings.

11. Changes​

We may update these terms and will notify account holders of material changes by email and/or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
